This feature will be an ongoing series of Questions and Answers addressing some issues received by the VSCA webmaster.  Your comments and questions are welcome.

Question:  Why do I have trouble viewing the VSCA web site?
Answer:  There may be a number of reasons.

  • Old Browser Needs Updating:  The most common is that the browser being used (i.e. Internet Explorer, Netscape, AOL, etc.) is not the newest version.  The VSCA site uses some current web editing tools that require newer browsers to view them. You may dowload updated software FREE from the Internet Explorer, Netscape, or AOL sites. or request a disk through the mail.
  • Network Is Down:  Check with the provides of your internet service connection to see if they are experiencing network problems.  Check to see if other network users also have trouble getting to the Internet.
  • Other Network Issues:  If you are part of a network at your work place, check with your network administrator about updating your browser.   One way to know if it is an "old browser" problem is to try using another computer on the network with newer software to see if the connection to the VSCA web site works on that computer. You may also want to ask whether there are any "filters" on your network that block certain pages from being viewed.
  • Bad Links on the Web Page:  It is possible that the VSCA TechTeam overlooked or incorrectly stated a link to a page.  We will make the corrections as soon as we can when we become aware of them.  Your feedback helps us.

Question:  Should we notify vsca when I have tried the above and I still cannot link one of the pages.
Answer:  It is helpful for VSCA to know when web site visitors do not link to one of our pages.  Please email vsca@vsca.org briefly explaing your experience, type of operating system you use, browser and version, etc.

Question:  Can I get involved in developing the VSCA web site?
Answer:
VSCA welcomes any technical assistance as well as new ideas from members.  Write to vsca@vsca.org and let us know.

Question:  I know that there is new information on the VSCA web page, but when I go to the web site, I see last year's information.  What do I do.
Answer:  Your browser is remembering the old information which is being kept on your computer memory.  Go to your browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozillla, etc.), and find your "Refresh" or "Reload" option (usually the F5 top row key in Windows), and click it to upload the new information on your screen.
